Invitation: Applicability of Risk Prediction and Security Management of Power and Telecommunications Grids

Applicability of Risk Prediction and Security Management of Power and Telecommunications Grids. itrust consulting, as the presenter and co-organiser together with the CRP Henri Tudor, would like to invite you to the following workshop: Abstract: In today’s world, where most of the critical infrastructures are based on distributed systems, security failures have become too common, even within large corporations. The critical infrastructures are tightly interconnected, mutually dependent, and are exposed to changing risks. These (inter)dependencies generate potential cascading effects that may spread a malfunction or an attack from one part of the system to another dependent infrastructure. Under the patronage of the Ministry of Economy and Foreign Trade, the Public Research Centre Henri Tudor and itrust consulting, together with Luxinnovation and their partner of the FP7 project MICIE, are organising an international workshop on the applicability of risk prediction and security management of power grids and telecommunication infrastructures. It will take place on May 20th 2010 at the CRP Henri Tudor in Luxembourg. It intends to share knowledge and experiences between researchers and operators or critical infrastructures.
